Vintage Laurel Burch Harlequin Bird Earrings – Signed Domed Enamel Post Earrings – 1980s Designer Jewelry

Rich color, confident design and a pair of birds with absolutely no intention of blending into the flock. These vintage Laurel Burch “Harlequin Bird” earrings feature mirrored stylized birds worked in vivid red, black, turquoise, cobalt blue and golden yellow enamel. Fine goldtone outlines define the feathers and facial details, while the rounded, domed construction gives the earrings wonderful dimension. The pierced earrings have post-style backs and measure approximately 1 1/8 inches in diameter. Each is signed “HARLEQUIN BIRD” and Laurel Burch on the reverse. They are in very good vintage condition. The colorful enamel fronts remain bright and attractive, with age-related surface wear visible on the goldtone backs. Please examine the photographs for the best description of condition. Curator’s Note: These birds face in opposite directions, but I suspect they are still discussing everyone in the room. Laurel Burch gave them color, elegance and just the right amount of attitude.
