Vintage 1980s Hammered Silvertone Modernist Dangle Earrings

Striking vintage statement earrings featuring hand-hammered silvertone metal formed into expressive openwork spirals and asymmetrical geometric shapes. Square spiral post tops suspend long, articulated dangles composed of overlapping triangles, sweeping lines and curled ends. Originally discovered as old store stock during the 1990s, these earrings became part of our curator’s personal collection. Their bright silvertone metal is possibly a nickel alloy, although the exact composition has not been tested. They date to the 1980s and remain in excellent vintage condition with no maker’s markings. Measurements: 3 1/2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. Curator’s Note Chosen from old store stock more than thirty years ago, these sculptural earrings have lived in our curator’s own collection ever since—a personal favorite finally ready for its next chapter.
