Beautifully aged and full of character, these vintage sterling silver screwback earrings feature an unusual twisted, dimensional dangle design accented with turquoise-colored composite material. The silver curves and twists around the colored surface rather than simply framing it, giving the earrings wonderful movement and an almost sculptural quality. The turquoise surface is no longer pristine, but those wonderfully twisting ribbons of old sterling make the earrings far more interesting than a perfectly polished modern pair. They have the sort of age and character that cannot be manufactured convincingly after the fact. A little weathered. Still beautiful. Rather like some of us.
