Classic cameo styling gets the full Sarah Coventry treatment in this wonderfully ornate pair of vintage clip-on earrings. Each earring features an ivory-colored molded cameo profile set against a soft gray blue oval background, surrounded by elaborate openwork metal scrolls and a beaded outer border. The combination has a romantic Victorian Revival flavor while still retaining that unmistakable mid-century costume-jewelry exuberance. The open filigree-style framework keeps the earrings visually light while giving them plenty of detail and presence. These are signed in two different ways — one earring is marked SC and the other SARAHCOV — confirming the Sarah Coventry attribution. They are in very good vintage condition with normal age-related wear.
