Vintage Mint Green Enamel Earrings – Goldtone Filigree Post Earrings – Art Deco Shield Statement Studs

Soft mint-green enamel meets intricate goldtone scrollwork in these wonderfully polished vintage post earrings. Their layered shield-shaped design features a glossy enamel center suspended above curling openwork filigree, all framed by a larger mint-green enamel border. The pointed silhouettes and architectural symmetry lend them an Art Deco flavor, while the fresh pastel coloring keeps them light and unexpectedly modern. The quality, enamel work and decorative metal detailing are reminiscent of Edgar Berebi jewelry; however, these earrings are unsigned and are not being attributed to Berebi. Based on their construction and styling, I would place them in the 1980s to early 1990s. They show only light surface evidence of previous wear and present beautifully. Curator’s Note: Mint green usually behaves like a quiet pastel. Add enough gold filigree, however, and it begins making executive decisions.
