Bohemian Openwork Bird Earrings with Colorful Wooden Beads

A pair of fanciful birds brings movement, color, and a touch of bohemian drama to these wonderfully oversized earrings. Each French-hook earring features a large openwork bird suspended beneath antiqued goldtone chains. Dyed wooden beads in orange, green, blue, and natural brown accent the chains, while a dimensional flower charm swings freely at the center. They measure approximately 3 1/4 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide and have no maker’s markings. The earrings remain in good vintage condition, with visible wear and finish loss on the metal birds. Please examine the photographs closely for their condition. Curator’s Note: These look like tiny hanging sculptures—a folk-art songbird perched beneath bright berries and a swinging flower. They are delightfully unusual and definitely not made for blending into the flock.
