Handmade Sterling Silver Tangled Orbit Earrings

A little sterling wire, an experienced pair of hands and absolutely no respect for straight lines produced these wonderfully spontaneous earrings. Hand formed by the curator, each earring is a miniature abstract sculpture of looping sterling silver wire. The hook and ornament flow together as one continuous design, giving the earrings an airy, dimensional appearance without unnecessary weight. The two earrings are individually formed rather than mechanically identical—the subtle differences are part of the charm and character of genuine handmade jewelry. New and never worn, they measure approximately 1 3/8 inches tall by 3/4 inch wide. Curator’s Note: Jill says she was “just playing.” We call it what happens when a bench jeweler is left unsupervised with sterling wire.
