Vintage Goldtone Spring Hoop Earrings – Coiled Wire Industrial Teardrops – Lightweight Latch Backs

Mechanical construction meets sweeping elegance in these remarkable vintage goldtone hoops. Each large teardrop frame is wrapped from end to end in tightly coiled metal wire. The coil gradually broadens toward the rounded bottom and narrows again near the top, creating impressive dimensional volume and a beautifully ribbed surface. Although they look substantial, the open spring construction makes the earrings exceptionally lightweight and comfortable to wear. The warm goldtone finish softens their mechanical character, while secure hinged latch-back closures preserve the hoop’s clean, uninterrupted silhouette. They measure approximately 2 1/2 inches long by 1/4 inch wide across the broadest portion at the bottom. The earrings are in excellent vintage condition with no markings. Curator’s Note A pair of precision-engineered springs has escaped the machinery and begun a far more glamorous career. Frankly, they were wasted in manufacturing.
