Hand-Painted Wooden Parrot Earrings – Carved Tropical Bird Dangles – Colorful Artisan, French Hooks

These parrots have plenty to say—and fortunately, every word appears to be complimentary. Beautifully carved from wood, each dimensional parrot is painted by hand in a tropical palette of turquoise blue, leafy green, sunny yellow, soft lavender and warm orange. Fine black linework defines the individual feathers, while touches of metallic gold and silver illuminate their faces, wings and bodies. The sculptural construction is especially appealing: raised wings curve over the rounded bodies, expressive beaks project from the faces and long carved tails create a wonderfully dramatic silhouette. Subtle differences in the painted details confirm their individual handmade character. Finished with goldtone French hooks, the earrings measure approximately 2 7/8 inches long by 3/4 inch wide. They are in excellent condition with no markings. Curator’s Note Bright, talkative and completely incapable of making a discreet entrance. These beautifully painted parrots bring all the pleasures of tropical bird ownership—with none of the seed scattered across the floor.
