Aged Goldtone Filigree Leaf Earrings – Large Openwork French Hook Dangles

Elaborate scrolling filigree transforms these oversized leaf earrings into miniature works of wearable metalwork. Their richly aged goldtone finish settles into every curl and textured detail, emphasizing the intricate openwork pattern and giving the earrings a romantic, timeworn character. Although generously sized, the airy pierced design keeps them visually graceful. They would be beautiful with warm autumn knits, flowing bohemian layers or a simple black dress that knows when to step aside and let the earrings perform. These unsigned vintage French hook earrings are in very good condition and measure approximately 3 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. Curator’s Note: Nature may have designed the leaf, but clearly a very enthusiastic Victorian decorator finished the job.
