Midnight Peacock Freshwater Pearl Sterling Earrings

Quietly elegant cultured pearls glow with mysterious green, blue and violet overtones in these beautifully simple drop earrings. Each genuine freshwater cultured pearl has a softly rounded teardrop shape and a deep dyed-black body color. Their smooth, lustrous surfaces shift toward peacock green and dusky plum as they catch the light. Minimal sterling silver French wires allow the pearls to remain the complete focus. The earrings measure approximately 1 inch long, with each pearl measuring about 1/4 inch across. They are unmarked and remain in excellent condition. The pearls have been visually identified as dyed cultured freshwater pearls. The wires are unmarked sterling silver. Curator’s Note: These are the little black dress of pearl earrings—restrained, elegant and appropriate almost anywhere, but far more intriguing than ordinary white pearls.
