Hand-Painted Ceramic Bird Earrings – Colorful Artisan Pottery Flock Dangles – Latin American Style

Why wear one cheerful little bird when you can have an entire flock? Three individually formed and hand-painted ceramic birds cascade from each of these wonderfully dimensional dangle earrings. Brilliant reds, blues, yellows and greens bring every tiny bird to life, while petite black beads and articulated silvertone links allow the flock to flutter and move as you do. The workmanship and exuberant painted decoration suggest Latin American artisan jewelry, possibly Peruvian, although the earrings are unsigned and their exact origin cannot be confirmed. Small variations in the birds and painted details are part of their handmade character—not even birds of a feather are completely identical. Finished with silvertone French hooks, the earrings measure approximately 2 1/2 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide. They are in excellent condition with no markings.
