Black Enamel Swallow Earrings – Double-Sided Silvertone Flying Bird Dangles – Tattoo Style French Hooks

Bold black swallows sweep through the air in these striking, graphic dangle earrings. Each bird is formed in silvertone metal with glossy black enamel defining its streamlined body and broad, scalloped wings. Bright metal outlines trace the entire silhouette, emphasizing the sharply pointed wings and famously dramatic forked tail. The enamel design appears on both sides, allowing the earrings to turn naturally while always presenting a finished surface. Their black-and-silver coloring gives them a wonderful traditional tattoo, rockabilly and slightly Gothic character without losing the swallow’s graceful elegance. Finished with silvertone French hooks, the earrings measure approximately 2 inches tall by 1 1/8 inches wide. They are in excellent condition with no markings. Curator’s Note Swallows traditionally know how to find their way home. These two, however, appear to be taking the scenic route—and looking magnificent while doing it.
