Vintage 1990 Silvertone Pelican Turquoise Chip Inlay Post Earrings

A wonderfully unusual pair of vintage pelican earrings crafted in dimensional silvertone metal. Each bird features finely detailed feathers, a long sculpted bill, dangling webbed feet and a vivid turquoise chip inlay panel across its wing. These post-style pierced earrings measure 3/4 inch tall by 5/8 inch wide. They are in very nice vintage condition with attractive age-related patina and light surface wear. The backs are marked with a copyright symbol and the number 90, most likely indicating a 1990 design or production date. No maker’s name is present. Curator's note: These pelicans appear to have just overheard something scandalous at the marina—and they are absolutely going to discuss it with the other shorebirds.
