Vintage Printed Capiz Shell Earrings – Retro Orange Geometric Dangles – Lightweight Statement Earrings

Apparently even Capiz shell had a groovy phase. These lightweight vintage dangle earrings feature large round natural Capiz shell discs printed with a wonderfully retro geometric pattern in shades of orange, cream, golden yellow and deep brown. The translucent shell gives the design a soft luminous quality while the overlapping rectangles look delightfully mid-century-to-1970s inspired. Simple French hook ear wires let the bold printed shells do all the talking—and fortunately, they have quite a lot to say. They measure approximately 2 inches long overall, with the capiz shell discs measuring approximately 1 5/8 inches across. Very good vintage condition with light age-appropriate wear. No maker's markings noted. Because capiz is a natural shell material, subtle variations and irregularities are part of its character. Curator’s Note Somewhere there is a fabulous 1972 living room with these exact colors, and frankly, I want to see it.
