Asymmetrical Goldtone Triangle Earrings – Graduated Chain Back Ear Jackets – Geometric Post Dangles
These unusual goldtone earrings refuse to let the front of the ear have all the fun. An open triangle rests against each earlobe, while a fine chain attached directly to the clutch falls from behind the ear and ends in a smaller triangle. The chains are intentionally different lengths, creating a stylish asymmetrical silhouette with plenty of delicate movement. Their sharply geometric shapes and visible chain construction give them a distinctly modernist, slightly industrial personality. Please note that the original clutch backs are an essential part of the design and must be worn with the earrings to create the complete look. Post-style pierced earrings Goldtone metal Open geometric triangles Fine chains attached to the clutch backs Front-to-back or ear-jacket construction Unsigned Good vintage condition Front triangles measure approximately 5/8 inch tall by 5/8 inch wide One clutch-mounted chain drop measures approximately 2 3/8 inches long The other chain drop measures approximately 2 1/8 inches long Lower triangles measure approximately 1/2 inch wide Curator’s Note: Even the earring backs demanded starring roles. Frankly, they make a convincing case.
