Vintage Jacobean Floral Clip On Earrings – Silvertone Scrollwork with Peach Beads & Faux Pearls

These little beauties have an almost antique Jacobean-revival look, with deeply textured silvertone metal curling around soft peach and creamy pearl accents. The sculptural metalwork is the star here: sweeping leaves, scrolls and dimensional floral details form an elongated design with a wonderfully aged, darkened finish. A tiny creamy faux pearl nestles near the top, while a larger round peach-colored bead anchors the bottom. At only 1 1/4 inches tall, they aren't large earrings—but there is an astonishing amount going on in that small space. They have the look of miniature antique metalwork rather than ordinary costume jewelry. The earrings are unsigned, which surprises me considering how nicely they are made. Clip mechanisms remain intact and functional, and the pair is in excellent vintage condition. These fall firmly into the second category. I especially love the combination of the moody antiqued metal with that wonderfully unexpected soft peach. They look as though someone raided a tiny Renaissance jewelry box and then got just a little carried away.
