Vintage Airplane Globe Earrings – World Map Dangle Earrings – Travel Novelty Statement Pierced Earrings

These earrings have already packed their bags. Wonderfully unusual vintage pierced earrings begin with rounded silvertone post tops, followed by dimensional airplane charms and large hollow world globe dangles printed in bright blue with colorful map details. The globes are lightweight for their substantial size, giving these earrings plenty of visual impact without requiring their own baggage allowance. The combination of airplane and globe makes them especially fun for the frequent traveler, flight attendant, geography lover, teacher, wanderer—or anyone whose answer to “Where should we go?” is simply “Yes.” They measure approximately 2 3/4 inches long overall, with the hollow globe drops measuring approximately 7/8 inch in diameter. Very good vintage condition with light age-appropriate wear. No maker's markings noted. Likely dating from approximately the late 1980s to 1990s. Curator’s Note For the woman who suffers from a serious case of wanderlust and sees absolutely no reason her earrings shouldn’t have passports too.
