Lilac Hummingbird Earrings – Layered Silvertone Bird Dangles – Enamel Filigree Post Earrings

A pair of hummingbirds pauses among lilac light and silvery ornament in these beautifully layered statement earrings. Each earring begins with a petite diamond-shaped post featuring a finely textured surface and decorative edging. Suspended below is a softly enameled lilac oval disc, providing a luminous backdrop for a dimensional silvertone hummingbird. The birds face one another as a mirrored pair, with long slender beaks, sculpted bodies and raised wings accented in shimmering purple enamel. Ornate openwork filigree drops complete the design, adding movement and a romantic, vintage-inspired flourish. The multiple independently assembled components give the earrings wonderful depth and detail without requiring an oversized silhouette. They measure approximately 1 1/4 inches long by 3/4 inch wide and are in excellent condition with no markings. Curator’s Note Hummingbirds rarely remain still long enough to accessorize. These two have made an exception—and selected lilac enamel, filigree and just the right amount of drama.
